Eve is the daughter of Trevor Eve (actor) and Sharon Maughan, a writer. Jack as well as George were her two little brothers. She was born and raised in England and Los Angeles. She has a multiracial background and is the daughter of an Indo British father named Anthony Mitra (of British descent), and an Irish mother Nora Downey. English actress Guyan Mitra is the middle of three siblings. She has an older sister Jason Mitra. Her younger brother Guyan Mitra, is a renowned journalist for travel who's work is included on Lonely Planet as well as The Sunday Times.
