Eve is the daughter of Trevor Eve (actor) and Sharon Maughan, a writer. Jack as well as George were her two little brothers. She was born and raised in England and Los Angeles. She was a student at Bedales School and then took her A-levels at Westminster School in London. While in her gap year, she studied at the Beverly Hills Playhouse and then read English through St Catherine's College Oxford. The student actress was in productions An Ideal Husband Animal Crackers, Scenes from an Execution (which was toured to Edinburgh Fringe Festival), as well as The Colour of Justice while studying at Oxford. She has a multiracial background and is the daughter of an Indo British father named Anthony Mitra (of British descent), and an Irish mother Nora Downey. English actress Guyan Mitra is the middle of three siblings. She has an older sister Jason Mitra. Her younger brother Guyan Mitra, is a renowned journalist for travel who's work is included on Lonely Planet as well as The Sunday Times.
